Memories from The Future Ottagonale Coffee Pot

Architectural in form and elegant in function, the Ottagonale Coffee Service Collection (1935) represents the efforts of three generations of the Alessi family. Giovanni Alessi founded the company; his son, Carlo, designed Ottagonale in 1935; and Carlos son Alberto brought Ottagonale back into production for a 2010 museum exhibition about Alessi design. Originally produced in chrome-plated brass. Alberto updated his fathers design by taking advantage of modern production methods and changing the material to stainless steel. The result is a cleaner shape and invisible welds at the handles and hinges. The handles and knobs, true to Carlos originals, are made of Bakelite. Approximate size: 8" x 4.25" x h.6.75", 1 qt 2 oz.
