Bombe Coffee & Tea set. The Bombe is still today the most successful tea and coffee set, it was Carlo Alessi's(Gravellona 1916) last design. The Bombe is emblematic of the company's development from being a craftsman-based enterprise(using lathes) to an industrial concern (using presses). Made of silver-plated brass between 1946 and 1959, and chrome plated brass between 1946 and 1965, it has been produced in stainless steel since 1965. Design: Carlo Alessi 1945 for Alessi, Italy.
